PELICAN Ex is an ideal device for locating, tracking and managing assets in difficult RF environments. This device combines the long range, low power benefits of LoRaWAN® with the universal availability and reliability of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).

Designed for use in industrial applications such as Oil & Gas, Processing plants, Mining and Hazardous Worker Safety, the PELICAN Ex is robust, with wide temperature range, IP67 weather protection and ATEX / Zone II EX certification.

In addition, battery performance has been optimzed to reduce maintenance needs, with possible operating life up to 15 years on a single C-cell battery. An integrated accelerometer enables smart event-based start-up to further optimize power saving.

In addition to being deployed as a tracker, PELICAN can also be used as a BLE Beacon for your asset tracking solution. As a BLE Beacon PELICAN supports iBeacon, Eddystne UID and TLM protocols and can operate for up to 18 months on batteries.
