Westermo WeConfig.
Network Configuration Management Tool.
WeConfig is a Network Configuration Management (NCM) tool that simplifies both the installation of a data communications network and the ongoing maintenance after commissioning has been completed.
WeConfig scans the network for devices and displays discovered units and their connections on a topology map.
Basic IP address configuration, as well as global parameter settings, can be quickly assigned and further configuration easily facilitated.
In addition to its configuration capabilities, WeConfig provides a simple monitoring and diagnostics tool.
WeConfig graphically highlights a failed link in a network and records the time of the event.
To assist with the diagnosis of any resulting problems, WeConfig also includes a SNMP traps log feature and can provides a view of all communication information.
An alarm and event tab summarises any received traps and alarms in a user-friendly way.
The advanced SHDSL diagnostics feature records and graphically displays SNR values of the line.
Data is also stored to a CSV file for further analysis.
Once devices are configured and the network commissioned, a manual or periodic backup of all the device configuration files can be easily made and stored.
Should an installed switch or router need to be replaced, the saved device configuration file can be quickly downloaded, resulting in a fast network repair.
A configuration baseline feature compares and alerts if changes have been made to a file.
WeConfig also highlights when a new firmware is available and can easily manage a system-wide upgrade.
WeConfig enables the user to configure and maintain cyber security features available in the WeOS operating system.
Spoofing protection features, such as MAC address filters and IEEE802.1x authentication parameters, can easily be deployed and maintained.
WeConfig also makes it possible to scan and harden switches that have factory default passwords or switches that use unsecure protocols.
WeConfig enables users to easily create security or deployment reports with details about topology, security settings, configuration and interconnection between units.
